Understand Fatigue. Spark Energy.
Do you wake up in the morning and ask yourself, "Why am I so tired?" Feeling tired all the time is one of the most common reasons people seek Naturopathic care. Fatigue can have many causes—ranging from lifestyle habits and nutritional deficiencies to cortisol imbalance and underlying medical conditions.
Functional testing is an important start to this process, because my goal is to identify the root cause of your fatigue first, and then create a plan that restores your energy naturally and sustainably.

Lifestyle
Everyday habits can have a profound effect on energy levels. Sleep, hydration, exercise, and screen time can all have an impact on energy.
Nutrition & Metabolic
Regulating blood sugar and fueling your body with enough calories and nutrients is important for feeling energetic.
Hormone & Endocrine
Fatigue often relates to hormonal disruptions in various organ systems that need to be identified through lab work.
Chronic & Systemic Disease
Persistent fatigue may be a sign of a deeper medical concern, such as POTS, Long-Covid or an autoimmune condition.
There are often multiple causes of fatigue and it can be so exhausting to understand how to get out of the energy drain. My role is to help identify and untangle theses causes through functional testing and create a realistic plan to restore health.
Below are some of the causes of fatigue that I help my patients investigate:

Lifestyle Causes of Fatigue
-
Poor sleep quality or irregular sleep patterns (e.g., difficulty falling or staying asleep, sleep apnea, restless sleep)
-
Overwork or chronic stress, leading to burnout and adrenal fatigue
-
Sedentary lifestyle or lack of restorative movement
-
Overexercising without adequate recovery
-
Screen time and overstimulation, disrupting circadian rhythm (i.e. melatonin levels)
We’ll review your sleep, daily rhythm, and stress management practices to identify what’s draining your energy—and create a realistic plan to restore balance.

Nutritional & Metabolic Causes
-
Iron deficiency or anemia
-
Low B12 or folate levels
-
Low vitamin D
-
Protein insufficiency
-
Blood sugar dysregulation or hypoglycemia
-
Dehydration or electrolyte imbalance
-
Low caloric intake (especially in restrictive diets)

We assess your nutrition, review labs if available, and create a targeted plan including dietary optimization and supplementation when appropriate.

Hormonal & Endocrine Causes
-
Thyroid dysfunction (hypothyroidism or subclinical hypothyroidism)
-
Adrenal dysregulation (chronic stress, burnout)
-
Blood sugar and insulin resistance
-
Perimenopause, menopause, or low testosterone
-
Cortisol rhythm disruption
-
Low serotonin and mood disorders
-
Heavy or prolonged periods

We can arrange for comprehensive hormonal testing, interpret results in context, and develop an evidence-based treatment plan that may include nutrition, herbal medicine, stress support, and—if indicated—bioidentical or thyroid hormone therapy.

Chronic & Systemic Diseases
-
Chronic infections (e.g., Epstein–Barr virus, Lyme disease, long COVID)
-
Autoimmune conditions (e.g., Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, rheumatoid arthritis)
-
Cardiovascular or respiratory issues
-
Chronic inflammatory or pain conditions (e.g. Fibromyalgia, Colitis, Crohn's)
-
Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS)

When appropriate, we can collaborate with your medical doctor for further testing or referral. Your care plan may integrate naturopathic therapies alongside conventional treatment for a comprehensive, safe approach.
